I woke up a little early to do devotions and enjoy the city of Tenali from the rooftop of Harvest India. Some of the guys got up early to get a clean shave with a straight razor from some of the staff. I opt out because I like to fast from shaving on mission trips.

We arrived in Tenali late that evening. We were greeted with flowers and hugs from the Harvest India staff. They made us feel very welcome. They then loaded us into the vans and took us to the house where we would be staying. We felt like we were in a Presidential motorcade the way they zipped us through the streets of Tenali.

Suresh shared God stories with us
Suresh greeted us at the door and dinner was waiting for us. Suresh shared some amazing stories of how God had been working in Harvest India. He was pretty fired up to have us here and that got us fired up (even though we were pretty beat from the two days of travel.

We had a little time of worship and praise on the roof. For me it was perfect timing. I think at times we get caught up with being busy with the travel. But despite being groggy and tired, we were able to calm our hearts and give thanks to God for bringing us to India to be a part of what He is doing here.

After lunch, we made our way down to the train station. First, we came by plane, next we took a bus, now it was time to take the train. We had to pull our luggage through large crowds of people. It gave us a little taste of what the people go through here with the overcrowding population in India.

It was nice to finally get settled in. But our long travels weren’t over as we had to endure a six-hour train ride. It was pretty crowded and the vendors walk up and down the aisle trying to sell you street food. I slept most of the ride. There were a couple little girls that took a liking to Rick’s Ipad. They probably have never seen gadgets like that ever before. I really enjoyed looking out the window and seeing a little of the country of India.
